How to prepare these carrot-apple oat mini cakes

Our mini cakes are baked fresh and designed to be enjoyed by little ones straight away, or frozen for later convenience. Once defrosted and/or reheated, consume within 24 hours.

If defrosted

Simply remove from packaging and serve at room temperature, or for a warm treat:

  • Option 1 – place in a preheated oven at 150°C for 5 minutes 
  • Option 2 – microwave for 10–15 seconds.
  • Option 3 – air fryer at 140°C for 2–3 minutes until warmed through.

Always check the temperature before serving to a child.

If frozen

Thaw naturally at room temperature for around 1–2 hours before serving, or warm from frozen in:

  • Option 1a preheated oven at 150°C for 8–10 minutes until soft.
  • Option 2 – air fryer for 5–6 minutes, checking halfway to make sure they don’t over-brown.

Avoid over-heating to keep them moist and tender.

Top tips

  • Always supervise young children while eating.
  • Once defrosted, do not refreeze.

These mini cakes can be stored either in the freezer for up to 2 months, or in the fridge for up to 3 days.
